Marianne Beaupré LaPerrière

Biography :

Marianne Beaupré LaPerrière has been involved in a variety of initiatives that combine music with a social impact for nearly 12 years. After studying anthropology and releasing three original albums, Marianne decided to dedicate herself to cultural mediation by founding the Speech workshops. Today, the organization, whose mission is to promote the positive development of young people with adjustment difficulties, accompanies about a hundred teenagers each year in several schools in Montreal and the surrounding area. With many years of experience with students in difficulty, her approach to intervention through musical creation has been documented and tested in various research projects. The recent completion of a Master’s degree in Education has allowed her to further explore the relationship between the adaptive functioning of students and musical creation.
